Mickael HiligsmannÂ is Assistant Professor in Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment at the Department of Health Services Research of Maastricht University (the Netherlands). He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences (2010), a master in Public Health (2006) and a master in Economics (2003) from the University of LiÃ¨ge (Belgium). As a researcher, he has experience in health economic evaluation including cost-effectiveness analyses, decision-analytic modelling and valuation of health care. He is currently author of around 45 peer-reviewed articles, with 25 as first-author including publications in PharmacoEconomics, Value in Health, Health Policy. He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Medical Economics and has acted as reviewer for more than twenty-five international journals or organizations. He is also part of the ISPOR medication adherence & persistence special interest group and is a member of the scientific committees of IOF and ESCEO. Expertise area: health economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness analyses, decision-analytic modelling, valuation of health care (discrete-choice experiment, contingent valuation), medication adherence and persistence.
Mickael is part of the Dutch team of EQUIPT and is mainly involved in WP1, WP2, and WP5.
